EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES

S-R BROADCASTING CO., INC., LICENSEE OF STANDARD BROADCAST STATION KRKO, EVERETT, WASHINGTON, WAS GRANTED AN EMERGENCY AUTHORIZATION TO OPERATE WITH EMERGENCY ANTENNA FACILITIES ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2009 AND AN STA ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2009. THE SEPTEMBER 10, 2009 STA REQUEST SPECIFIED MARCH 10, 2010 AS THE STA EXPIRATION DATE. BOTH THE EMERGENCY AUTHORIZATION AND THE SEPTEMBER 10, 2009 STA WERE GRANTED ON THE BASIS THAT TWO RADIO TOWERS WERE DESTROYED BY AN APPARENT ACT OF VANDALISM, OSTENSIBLY PERPETRATED BY THE EARTH LIBERATION FRONT.

NEW TOWERS HAVE BEEN ORDERED AND INSTALLATION IS SCHEDULED FOR JULY, 2010. ACCORDINGLY, IT IS RESPECTFULLY REQUESTED THAT THE EXISTING STA TO OPERATE PURSUANT TO SECTION 73.1680 OF THE FCC RULES BE EXTENDED FOR AT LEAST SIX (6) MONTHS. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING THE TOWER DESTRUCTION AND PROPOSED OPERATION IS CONTAINED IN PREVIOUS REQUESTS FOR AN EMERGENCY AUTHORIZATION AND, THEREAFTER, THE REQUEST FOR STA.
