Description:
REASON FOR STA

WETC WAS ORIGINALLY GRANTED AN STA TO OPERATE WITH PARAMETERS AT VARIANCE AND/OR AT REDUCED POWER WHILE MAINTAINING MONITOR POINTS SO THAT WETC COULD CONTINUE TO OPERATE FOLLOWING THE COLLAPSE OF ONE OF ITS TOWERS. AFTER A NEW TOWER WAS ERECTED AND MEASUREMENTS HAD BEEN TAKEN IN CONNECTION WITH THE PREPARATION OF AN APPLICATION TO RELICENSE THE STATION'S FACILITIES AN APPLICATION FOR MODIFICATION OF WETCS DAYTIME PATTERN AND TO INCREASE ITS DAYTIME POWER (BP- 20080602BEY) WAS GRANTED. WETC REQUESTS EXTENSION OF THE STA TO OPERATE AT WITH PARAMETERS AT VARIANCE AND/OR AT REDUCED POWER WHILE MAINTAINING MONITOR POINTS PENDING COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE MODIFIED FACILITIES AUTHORIZED IN ITS CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND FILING OF A LICENSE APPLICATION.

IN RESPONSE TO THE LATEST STA EXTENSION, DATED APRIL 29, 2015, WETC IS PROVIDING A STATEMENT, ATTACHED HERETO, OF ITS CONSULTING ENGINEER, R. MORGAN BURROW, JR., P.E., LISTING THE PROBLEMS THE WETC HAS ENCOUNTERED SINCE BEING ASSIGNED THE WETC LICENSE, THE ACTIONS TAKEN BY WETC TO DATE TO COMPLETE THE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT, AND THE PROPOSED ACTIONS THAT THE CONSULTING ENGINEER WILL TAKE IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE SUBMISSION OF A LICENSE APPLICATION PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION OF THE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT ON DECEMBER 18, 2015.
