Description:
VARIANCE OF LICENSED OPERATION

KJMP IS CURRENTLY OPERATING AT REDUCED POWER DURING DAYTIME AND NIGHTTIME HOURS USING TOWER #3 IN NON-DIRECTIONAL MODE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF 73.1680 OF THE FCC RULES. THIS VARIANCE IS DUE TO A FIRE THAT DAMAGED SEVERAL COMPONENTS OF THE DIRECTIONAL ARRAY. A PROTECTIVE FENCE IS IN PLACE AROUND TOWER #3, AND UNTIL ALL DAMAGE IS REPAIRED, TOWERS 1 AND 2 HAVE BEEN GROUNDED FOR SAFETY.

Exhibit 34
Description:
REASON FOR STA REQUEST

THE ENGINEERING STA WAS INITIALLY REQUESTED OWING TO A BRUSH FIRE ON THE KJMP TRANSMISSION SITE PROPERTY THAT SPREAD QUICKLY, DAMAGING SEVERAL COMPONENTS IN THE ANTENNA TUNING UNITS, TRANSMISSION FEED LINES, AND SAMPLE CABLES. THIS DAMAGE MADE A RETURN TO THE LICENSED DIRECTIONAL MODE IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL REPAIRS WERE MADE.

KJMP REMAINS COMMITTED TO THE RESTORATION OF THE STATION'S OPERATIONS AND REPAIR OF ITS FACILITIES. HOWEVER, RESTORATION OF ALL EQUIPMENT TO THE EXACT ORIGINAL CONFIGURATION HAS BEEN MADE MORE DIFFICULT THAN EXPECTED, OWING TO THE FACT THAT SOME OF THE COMPONENTS USED IN THE ORIGINAL DSIGN ARE NO LONGER BEING PRODUCED BY THE MANUFACTURER. KJMP HAS FOUND THAT IT HAS TO DETERMINE WHAT SUBSTITUTES ARE POSSIBLE AND THEN TO CUSTOM ORDER THEM. ALL OF THIS HAS TAKEN FAR LONGER THAN ORIGINALLY EXPECTED, OWING TO THE LONG LEAD TIMES INVOLVED. KJMP WISHES TO RETURN TO ITS LICENSED PARAMETERS AND IS ACTIVELY PURSUING THE PROCUREMENT AND INSTALLATION PROCESS.

PENDING COMPLETION, KJMP WISHES TO CONTINUE TO SERVE ITS LISTENING PUBLIC AND REQUESTS A FURTHER EXTENSION OF ITS ENGINEERING STA.
