Description:
NARRATIVE

STATION WROA (FACILITY ID 17478) LOCATED IN GULFPORT, MS, CONTINUES TO OPERATE AT THE FCC AUTHORIZED REDUCED POWER AT 1KW AS A RESULT OF THE STORM DAMAGE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED TO THE FCC. AT THIS TIME, WORK ON THIS PROJECT IS STILL UNDERWAY, BUT HAS NOT YET BEEN COMPLETED. SINCE THE LAST EXTENSION, THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DIPLEXER FOR WROA HAS BEEN COMPLETED. IN ADDITION, THE BUILDING, AND ELECTRICAL WORK REQUIRED FOR THE PROJECT HAS ALSO BEEN COMPLETED. THE ENGINEER FOR THE PROJECT HAS REPORTED TO THE LICENSEE THAT THE INSTALLATION OF THE DIPLEXER SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS. FURTHERMORE, THE LICENSEE IS IN THE PROCESS OF ARRANGING FOR THE CONSULTANT FOR THE PROJECT (ALAN ALSOBROOK), TO COME OUT TO THE SITE IN ORDER TO MAKE ANY FINAL CHANGES, TUNE THE DIPLEXER TO THE ANTENNA, AND MAKE THE REQUIRED MEASUREMENTS FOR FILING A LICENSE TO COVER THE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT WITH THE FCC. THE LICENSEE BELIEVES THAT THE PROJECT IS NOW IN ITS FINAL STAGES, BUT THAT THE NECESSARY WORK WILL NOT BE COMPLETELY FINISHED BY THE TIME THAT THE STA IS SET TO EXPIRE. AS SUCH, AND OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION, THE LICENSEE RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS AN EXTENSION OF THE CURRENT STA FOR AN ADDITIONAL 180 DAYS IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO FINISH THE WORK REQUIRED, AND ALLOW FOR ANY UNFORESEEN DELAYS IN THE PROJECT, IN ORDER TO RETURN THE STATION TO THE AIR AT NORMAL OPERATIONS.
