Description:
PROGRESS REPORT

AS REPORTED IN THE INITIAL APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY ('STA'), THE STA BECAME NECESSARY DUE TO THE WEATHER-RELATED COLLAPSE OF THE TOWER UTILIZED BY WHOW-FM. WHOW HAS HIRED A CONSULTING ENGINEER WHO HAS CONDUCTED AN EXTENSIVE STUDY TO ASSIST THE LICENSEE IN BRINGING THE STATION BACK TO FULL OPERATION, INCLUDING A SHIFT IN THE TOWER LOCATION NORTH OF ITS FORMER LOCATION. ONCE THE LICENSEE RECEIVES THE RESULTS OF THAT STUDY, WORK ON THE RECONSTRUCTION PROCESS AND REINSTATEMENT OF FULL OPERATION WILL BEGIN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THE LICENSEE IS AWARE THAT THE CURRENT STA EXPIRED ON JULY 18, 2007. THROUGH INADVERTENCE, THE REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION OF THE STA WAS NOT SUBMITTED UNTIL THIS DATE. WHOW-FM RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS THAT THE COMMISSION GRANT THIS EXTENSION REQUEST.
