REQUEST FOR STA EXTENSION

EXTENSION OF THE SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY ('STA') GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION ON JUNE 26, 2008, (FCC FILE NO. BSTA - 20080625ABZ) TO OPERATE WTSX(FM) ON AN EMERGENCY ANTENNA PURSUANT TO 47 C.F.R. SECTION 73.1680 (EMERGENCY ANTENNAS) AND 47 C.F.R. SECTION 73.1635 (SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY) IS REQUESTED.

AS THE COMMISSION IS AWARE, THE ORIGINAL TOWER SUPPORTING WTSX(FM)'S TRANSMITTING ANTENNA WAS FOUND TO BE IN HAZARDOUS CONDITION AND THE STATION HAS BEEN OPERATING NON-DIRECTIONALLY WITH A THREE-BAY EMERGENCY ANTENNA, PENDING IMPLEMENTING OF CONSTRUCTION PERMIT, FILE NO. BPH-20080313AAB COMMENCED. DURING THE CURRENT STA TERM, THIS PERMIT WAS CANCELLED AT THE REQUEST OF THE LICENSEE AND A NEW APPLICATION FOR A CONSTRUCTION PERMIT, FILE NO. BPH-20081104AFA TO CHANGE THE COMMUNITY OF LICENSE IS PENDING.

SO THAT WTSX(FM) MAY CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC, PJ RADIO, L.L.C. REQUESTS EXTENSION OF STA UNTIL IT IS ABLE TO IMPLEMENT THE PROPOSED MODIFICATION AS SET FORTH IN FILE NO. BPH-20081104AFA.
