Description: EXTENSION REQUEST

THIS AMENDMENT IS BEING SUBMITTED TO UPDATE THE DATE BY WHICH WFFT-DT IS SCHEDULED TO COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE FINAL FACLITIES AND FULL-POWER OPERATIONS FOR WFFT-DT ARE SCHEDULED TO BE COMPLETED BY DECEMBER 15, 2008. TOWER WORK IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF OCTOBER, 2008, WITH EQUIPMENT DELIVERIES AND INSTALLATION ANTICIPATED SHORTLY AFTER COMPLETION OF TOWER PREPARATIONS. COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION AND FULL-POWER OPERATIONS ARE ESTIMATED BY 12/15/2008.

IN SUPPORT OF ITS PREVIOUS REQUEST TO EXTEND THE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FOR WFFT-DT (SEE BEPCDT - 20080319ADP), WHICH IS INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE, NEXSTAR SUBMITTED THE LETTER OF NEXSTAR CFO MATTHEW DEVINE TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THE THREAT OF SEVERVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP (INCLUDING POSSIBLE BREACH OF LOAN COVENANTS AND NEGATIVE CASH FLOW) PREVENTED NEXSTAR FROM SIMULTANEOUSLY COMPLETING BUILD OUT OF ALL 30 FULL-POWER TELEVISION STATIONS LICENSED TO IT. THEREFORE, A STAGED APPROACH HAS BEEN TAKEN IN ORDER TO FUND CONSTRUCTION OF FINAL DTV FACILITIES FROM AVAILABLE CASH. NEXSTAR FULLY EXPECTS TO COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION OF WFFT-DT'S FINAL FACILITIES ON OR BEFORE 02/17/2009.

NEXSTAR ALSO REQUESTS A FURTHER EXTENSION OF SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY TO CONTINUE OPERATION OF WFFT-DT WITH THE LOW POWER FACILITIES SPECIFIED IN THE REQUESTS FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY PREVIOUSLY FILED WITH AND GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE STATION'S FULL-POWER DTV FACILITIES ARE CONSTRUCTED.
